Octoberfest Is Back In Weymouth (And We Have A Little Competition To Win Tickets Too!!)

Mark your calendars for the highly anticipated Weymouth Octoberfest, which is scheduled to make a comeback on the weekend of Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th.

This exciting festival is organised by dedicated volunteers from the West Dorset Campaign for Real Ale. The event will take place in the stunning Ocean room at Weymouth Pavilion, providing a picturesque setting for attendees to enjoy a wide selection of real ales.

With a focus on showcasing local breweries, this year and their finest brews, this festival promises to be a celebration of craft beer and community spirit.

Copper Street Brewery will be taking over the guest brewery bar, bringing with them a selection of ales inspired by King Alfred's Wessex from 871AD. It's going to be a fantastic celebration of the historic Wessex region of Britain, so get ready to taste some truly unique and delicious brews.

Indulge in a tantalising line-up of over 60 cask ales hailing from Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, and Wiltshire. Savour the flavours of these regional brews, perfectly complemented by a diverse selection of traditional ciders in every style imaginable. From crisp and refreshing to bold and robust, there's a cider for every palate waiting to be discovered.

Experience the best of the West Country's brewing traditions all in one place, where quality and variety meet to create a truly unforgettable tasting experience.

CAMRA spokesperson Rich Gabe who orders the beer selection said” The Wessex region of Britain has some fantastic breweries all offering different styles and flavours. Weymouth Octoberfest is the perfect beer festival to showcase some of the best breweries in the region and the Pavilion is the perfect venue to hold the festival in”
